Lucky me! I’m a Seattle native. My family lived in Seattle & the Eastside, with my high school years on the Long Beach Peninsula in SW Washington at the Pacific Ocean. We were thrilled each summer to spend time on Whidbey Island. I went to Portland State University, graduated with a business administration degree. Living near the water and mountains is important to me. The NW is home.
I found my career as a real estate agent in the midst of the very deep recession. Many of you have never heard of home mortgage interest rates as high as 17.5%, but that was the tough real estate market I started and learned in. In 1988, I moved to a growing real estate firm called Windermere Real Estate.
My office handled a LOT of “Area Tours” where local real estate agents would show young Microsoft interviewees around the neighborhoods and communities they might want to live. Looking back, those tours started a lot of long-term friendships. None of us realized then how quickly Seattle/Eastside would grow because of high tech & Microsoft.
Western Washington is now home to many significant companies that do business all around the world. Technology enables all of us to easily talk, and conduct business, no matter our differences in time zones or regions.
My work is fun, and I enjoy meeting all of you. When I work with someone I helped buy or sell before, it is like seeing an old friend again. Building long-term relationships is one of many benefits I gain from my career! If you’re reading this, chances are you already know something about me.
Thanks for thinking about working with me, let’s talk.
